Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: (examples)
  • Position requires a pleasant voice, calm attitude and willingness to listen to all customers.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to inbound customer calls and written requests for customer service.
  • Accurately maintain data base system of customer account details and activity.
  • Must provide timely follow through on issues requiring research and assistance from sales and manufacturing departments.
  • Have thorough knowledge of products and services offered by company.
  • Have motivation and seek an increase of knowledge through formal education, seminars and in in-house training.
  • Follow the company policies and procedures maintaining ethical behavior at all times.
  • Work with team to develop department goals that are in line with business plan.
  • Facilitate and initiate training programs to enhance the customer service department’s productivity.
  • Work with customers, marketing, sales, and manufacturing departments to review product trends; identify customer needs and make recommendations for product enhancements.
  • Identify issues and make recommendations to positively impact the corporate vision and goals.
  • Produce and distribute office correspondence and communications.
  • Write/edit policies and procedures for customer service department.
  • Other projects and reports as assigned.                       
 Education & Experience: (examples)
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience, preferably within a certified ISO manufacturing environment.
  • Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Must have typing skills of 40wpm.
  • Highly motivated with articulate written and verbal communication skills.  Must have the ability to motivate, teach and lead others.
  • Attention to details and exceptional organizational skills are required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Physical Requirements: (examples)
  • Approximately 70% of the time is spent sitting at a computer.  The remaining 30% of the time is spent either standing or walking.  
  • Some bending and stretching may be required to reach a phone or to get a file.
  • Lifting of 50 pounds or less may be required.
Working Conditions: (example)
  • The office is air conditioned with fluorescent lighting.
Travel: (example)
  • 10% Overnight travel may be required
